highlights 2023

The year 2023 has flown by again and what a beautiful year it was. We started the year well with the NDE New Year's drinks in the Nicolaïkerk in Utrecht. Together with colleagues from the heritage field, we toasted a sparkling year.

A special milestone this year was the launch of our collection management system Memorix Nexus. After an intensive process of development, training and testing, the first customers were able to get started with our new collection management system.

As part of Memorix Nexus, we have been busy with a Nexus Roadshow. We were able to visit many (potential) customers and introduce them to Memorix Nexus. In addition to visits to our customers, we have also been able to create many beautiful websites for our customers.

During the year we participated in various fun and educational events, including the Archive Days, where our colleagues brought attention to Memorix Nexus and made valuable connections. We also did not sit idle in November, Digital Heritage Month. We attended several events this month and learned a lot about what it means to work NDE-compatible.

In addition to fun events, we have also welcomed great colleagues to our team. Mike van den Berg, Peter Lutz, Tessa van Walstijn van Walstijn, Mike de Decker, Twan Mars, Maria Buiakova, Donna Tromp, Judith Rozing and Priscilla Cats, we are happy to have you in our team.

This year we also started working on a Polish VeleHanden project for the first time and the VeleHanden website is now also available in four languages: Dutch, English, Frisian and Polish. A total of seven new VeleHanden projects were started this year, three of which were completed this year thanks to the efforts of our dedicated volunteers. Mark Groothuis can tell you everything about VeleHanden. Together with volunteer Jeroen Zwier, who entered no fewer than 10,000 scans, he took part in a talk show where you can find out more about VeleHanden. On October 12, Picturae ICT B.V. became part of the Vitec Software Group family and continued under the name 'Vitec Memorix B.V.'. By becoming part of Vitec Software Group, we can fully focus on our software products.
