Adjusting a URL: that was what was needed to go live with the new collection management system Memorix Nexus on April 11. A small action, but a big moment for the City Archives and supplier Picturae. After an intensive process of development, testing and training, the City Archives employees for the study room and digitization components were able to switch to the new working method, based on the new system.

“Ooh, ah, that's nice!”

This is approximately what the responses of the City Archives staff were like during recent training sessions. The transition is a huge improvement on many fronts: from two systems to one, extensive search options, high speed. And the digitalization work process has eliminated many manual steps.

Memorix Nexus is the latest generation collection management system, developed from the linked data promise and builds on the success of Memorix Maior.
